  1. Children spends an average of eight hour of their time everyday in school. It is the place where they mold students to become someone in the future. In school, students dreams are created. Children become doctors, scientist, the next Bill Gates and or the next Beethoven and this is because schools gave them the opportunity to choose and be creative. I strongly disagree with the idea of exclusion of subjects like music and sports because of two reasons, first it decreases our chances of seeing another Metalica band and another Kristiano Ronaldo and second, the holistic approach in learning will be taken for granted.

Doctors, scientist, computer geniuses is as important as the Metalica Band and the soccer player Kristiano Ronaldo. Personally, i am a fan of Metalica and i believe that they are the best band of all time. Kirk Hammer the lead guitarist of the band claimed that he never knew how to play the guitar then until he was given the chance by a teacher in school to held one. Kristiano Ronaldo a Brazilian soccer player enhanced his skills because he was given the opportunity to play in school. If subjects such as music and sports were to be considered irrelevant and will not be offered to students, then chances of developing our children's creative and artistic abilities will be compromised. Their kinesthetic skills not be enhanced as well.

Secondly, children needs to be taught holistically. This means that students should learn both academic and non-academic subjects. Academic subjects develop students ability to think critically, solve complex mathematical equations that will prepare them for a career ahead. While non-academic subjects teaches art appreciation, enhancement of kinesthetic skills, sportsmanship and teamplay.

In summary, exclusion of non-academic subjects such as music and sports will decrease our chances of hearing another Kirk Hammer playing his guitar wonderfully and seeing another Kristiano Ronaldo dominating the FIFA Workd Cup. Offering sufficient options to students will give them a considerable chances of choosing the right career for them.

  2. Non academic subjects such as Music and sports are part of the curriculum in schools and universities ever since. These subjects are included to enhance the skill of every student individually or group, enhance the talent of students who are excelling in singing, dancing, and different sports. It is a belief that Non academic subjects are necessary in School.

In Sports or Physical Education are designed to provide skill, competition and good will to fellow students. Social interaction is markedly developed since achieving a passing grade should need a group effort. The subject molds the students from being active, strong and healthy at the same time they learned activities which they can be used in future. Team building, competition and camaraderie are the positive things that a student can achieve. A student who are excelling in sports are the achiever, they can be a leader or manager later in their career.

Music subjects are rich in history and culture particularly in conservation of tradition on a certain region. It is where the students interact with each other and perform activities in group like choir and dancing. It can also be a tool in communicating people, by music students can express their emotions and feelings by rehearsals, practice and performance.

It is a fact that the school curriculum are been revised every time but still non academic subjects are essentials and important. Group activities, team building, development of talents and many more to mentions are the advantages of it. Without sports, music and other non academic subjects, the life in school will be boring.
